READ: Numbers 27:1-7, Hebrews 4:16, Matthew 7:7-8
If you do not know what you deserve and even if you know but never make an effort to acquire it, you may never enjoy what rightfully belongs to you. The 5 daughters of Zelophehad discovered what their father had and they knew that they had a right to receive inheritance because he had no sons when he died. They boldly stood before Moses, Eleazar the priest and the entire Israelite community and demanded to be given what rightfully belonged to them. True enough when Moses enquired from the Lord, God affirmed that what the daughters of Zelophehad were saying was true and so Moses had no option but to give them their share of inheritance. If they had coiled back in fear and never went to ask they would never have received anything. They knew the truth, pursued boldly what they believed was their right, asked for it and sure enough it was granted to them.
The same applies to you child of God. Hidden in God’s word are great and precious promises that God has given you. (2Cor 1:20) In addition, He invites you to come to Him and ask from Him by faith. In other words, He is calling you to claim what is rightfully yours. Good health is your right. You are entitled to a life of joy and peace. Victory and success belong to you. Whatever it is that He has spoken in His word is available for you. Like the Daughters of Zelophehad, refuse to be intimidated by the enemy and come boldly to the throne of grace so that you can receive from your Father. It is your responsibility to find out from His word all that God has availed for you and then go to Him in full assurance of faith and receive from the hand of the Lord. If you do not know what God has made available for you through His word, you will never ask and therefore you will never enjoy what is rightfully yours as a child of God.
Refuse to perish in ignorance child of God; find out what should be yours, believe it and then go for it in Jesus name.
